9/4/2024, Wednesday - Biked Markham, Ontario

Markham was very cool. It was a wealthy area with exotic cars and luxurious houses. We had a really good parking spot so we decided to stay an extra day. We wanted to see more of the town so we biked out a whole different area and did a big loop around the city. There were lots of bike lanes and bike paths and residential neighborhoods. We made a big loop that took us all day to do.

It was awesome to see the first signs of Fall with some really cool leaf changes

We couldn't believe how many bridges and overlooks there were on the biking trails. Markum spared no expense on their bike trail system!

The trails we took this day were not connected. We took the bike trails when we could.

Lots and Lots of bridges on the trail

more bridges!

Suddenly off in the distance we saw an odd structure so we checked it out

It looked like something you would see in the middle east. There were tons of big condos all around it.

It turned out to be a catholic church. It appeared to not be in use any more.

The steps are all messed up. That is what led us to believe that the church was not in use anymore.

This was a monument devoted to the early dutch immigrants that came here

It was an interesting art piece. It seemed a fitting monument to settlers.

This guy wasn't afraid of us at all
